Jaw crusher jaw plates manganese—also called jaw dies—are essential wear parts for jaw crushers, with high-manganese steel (Mn13, Mn18) as the core material that determines their durability and crushing performance. These components protect the crusher body, facilitate material crushing, and boost overall efficiency.
Forged or cast from high-manganese steel, these robust rectangular parts include one fixed and one movable plate. The steel’s excellent impact toughness and work-hardening property (surface hardness rises sharply under rock/ore impact) lets the plates withstand severe abrasion and impact during operation, outperforming ordinary carbon steel in service life. Working in tandem, the fixed and movable plates efficiently compress rocks, ores and bulk materials, maintaining structural integrity under long-term heavy loads to ensure reliable continuous crushing for mining, construction and aggregate production.
