Modern plates generally adopt modular design, fixed by bolts or dovetail grooves, and the weight of a single piece is controlled within 50kg for manual replacement. The feed end area with severe wear will also be thickened. When installing, it is necessary to pay attention to maintaining a 5-10mm expansion gap between adjacent plates to prevent cracking caused by thermal deformation. In wet grinding conditions, the plate will be designed with drainage holes to prevent mud accumulation. Reasonable plate configuration can increase ball mill production capacity by 15%-20% and reduce energy consumption by 8%-12%. Its service life is usually calculated based on the processing volume, and can reach 80,000-120,000 tons under iron ore grinding conditions. Regularly checking the tightening status and wear profile of the plate bolts is an important measure to ensure safe production.
