Secondly, hammer crushers that process medium-hard materials (such as limestone and coal gangue) are also suitable for high chromium hammers. The compressive strength of such materials is mostly in the range of 100-150MPa, which will not cause excessive impact on the hammers, but can give full play to the wear resistance of high chromium alloys. For materials with high water content (such as wet coal, sludge, etc.), the corrosion resistance of high chromium hammers makes them an ideal choice for vertical compound crushers. However, it should be noted that in jaw crushers that crush ultra-hard materials (such as basalt and granite), high chromium hammers are prone to breakage due to excessive impact force. In addition, when a single-stage hammer crusher uses a high-chromium hammer, it is recommended to use a low-speed design of the rotor (linear speed less than 40m/s) to ensure safe use.
